Joanne Regan currently lectures on the BSc (Level 7) Health Science and Physiology, BSc. (Level 8) Health Science and Physical Activity and the BSc. (Level 7 & 8) Human Nutrition courses. She has been in the college since September 2002. Joanne graduated in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick in 1997 and completed an MSc in Exercise Physiology (by research) in 2000 in the University of Limerick. She worked in the Institute of Technology Carlow for 2 years before moving to Sligo. Joanne's research interests are in the benefits of exercise for individuals with chronic medical conditions (e.g. cardiac rehabilitation, neurological conditions, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis). Joanne is one of the co-ordinators responsible for setting up MedEx@ITSligo, an exericse programme for participants with chronic conditions. |
