Mary Gilmartin is a lecturer in the School of Business and Social Sciences at the Institute of Technology, Sligo, Ireland.  She has an MSc in Training and Human Resource Management (Leicester University) and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.  Prior to joining IT Sligo as a lecturer she worked as an HR practitioner in a range of sectors including retail and manufacturing.  Other areas of interest include employee resourcing, talent development, employee engagement and communication.  Her teaching disciplines include talent resourcing, talent development, employee engagement, communications, employee relations and coaching.  She is Student Liaison Officer for the North West Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) Ireland.
