ATU White Belt Ranked #1 Globally

The Lean Sigma Quality White Belt (MOOC) is a free seven-week online course delivered through ATU Sligo’s online learning platform (Moodle). This award-winning course has been delivered to over 18,000 participants in 50 countries and is brought to you by Ireland’s largest online provider of Quality, Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence programmes. 

Participants that successfully complete the course and assessments receive a White Belt Certificate and LinkedIn badge from ATU Sligo (shown here). In line with other free (MOOC) courses, there are no college credits assigned to the White Belt course. We estimate that this free White Belt course is the equivalent of 2.5 credits. The White Belt provides an excellent foundation for the follow-on ATU Sligo accredited (fee-paying) Lean & OpEx Yellow Belt course.

During the White Belt course participants receive an introduction to the following Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques:   introduction to lean and the seven ‘wastes, flow charts and value stream mapping (VSM), quality metrics – Yield & PPM, six sigma DMAIC problem-solving methodology,  problem-solving tools – Fishbone diagram,  error proofing (Poka-Yoke), descriptive statistics and Lean & Six Sigma examples from the manufacturing, service and healthcare sectors.
