The Student Medical Services is a student friendly service with attention given to preventative medicine, health promotion and healthy lifestyles. It is intended to provide acute medical care during the week when it is not possible to attend your regular GP.

Every student at ATU Sligo is automatically a member of the Students’ Union. They offer a range of services, support students, run campaigns on areas such as mental health and sexual health, give advice on things such as SUSI applications and run a number of events.

The Being Well Living well toolkit helps students to develop the confidence to manage wellbeing issues they may face and understand that they are not alone in experiencing challenges in their academic and personal lives – whilst also providing guidance on supporting their friends, and signposting when and where to seek further support if needed.
The toolkit covers 4 main themes: Living Well, Feeling Well, Staying Safe, Spending Well
The online toolkit allows students to dip in and out of the themed resources at anytime. It also contains useful IT Sligo resources and supports to help students overcome pressures and anxieties. You can access Being Well, Living Well by logging into Moodle.

BelonG To offer support to LGBTI+ young people (14-24 years). They advocate and campaign on behalf of young LGBTI+ people and offer a specialised LGBTI+ youth service with a focus on mental and sexual health, alongside drug and alcohol support.

Insight Timer is an app and website designed to help make meditation and yoga convenient, easy, and pleasant to do. Meditation and yoga are practices that unite mind and body to focus attention in order to calm racing thoughts, reduce stress, and improve mental and physical health and well-being.
